On September 15, 2026, we had the pleasure of meeting Danish radio amateur OZ3CC, Omar Frits Eriksson, who was visiting Romania for professional reasons.
The story of this meeting began the day before, on Monday, September 14, when our Danish fellow radio amateur used ChatGPT to find amateur radio clubs in the Constanța area. This led him to discover our club and the contact email address published on our website, which he used to send us a message expressing his wish to meet local radio amateurs.
The meeting was arranged at very short notice, depending on our guest's availability, as he had a busy professional schedule. On Tuesday, September 15, at 13:30 local time, we met at Hotel Dacia Sud in Mamaia, where OZ3CC was attending a workshop.
Given the limited time and the location of the meeting, participation from our club was limited to Costin – YO4YPC and Dan – YO4FPF, as there was no opportunity to organize a larger gathering.
Nevertheless, it was an excellent opportunity to get acquainted, share experiences, and exchange ideas about the passion that brings us together: amateur radio. Our discussions covered our clubs' activities, amateur radio projects, equipment, and experiments across various frequency bands, from HF and VHF all the way up to SHF.
The meeting took place in a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, once again confirming that amateur radio is about much more than making radio contacts: it is about people, friendships, and sharing experiences across borders.

We would like to thank OZ3CC for taking the initiative and hope that, on a future occasion, we will have enough time to organize a larger gathering, allowing as many members of our radio club as possible to participate.
